Solar Research Institute of HIT, Fraunhofer ISE, and Sandia National Laboratories are excited to host the 11th PVPMC Workshop in Weihai , China (second year in a row). In addition to the technical sessions, there will be an optional 2-day PV manufacturing tutorial that will include guided tours of 3-4 PV manufacturing centers in the Shanghai area. A special workshop registration will include 1-way flight from Weihai to Shanghai (Dec 5), two nights in a hotel in Suzhou, meals, and transportation and guides for the tours. There is also an option for a local cultural tour on Dec 8. This is a terrific opportunity to see how PV modules and cells are made first hand in the epicenter of PV manufacturing. Abstracts for presenters are due by October 31 and can be emailed to: pvpmc@hitwh.edu.cn
This workshop will focus on high-quality academic keynote reports from industry leaders and technical updates from researchers. Topics will include:
- Solar resource assessment
- PV cell, module, and plant performance modeling
- New technology concepts for improving PV performance (bifacial, power electronics, new materials, etc.)
- Challenges and success stories of integration of PV into the grid and society.
The 9th PVPMC Workshop in China last year was a great success, and we believe that the gathering of well-known PV experts from China and abroad can help bring more innovative thinking to the PV industry globally.
Hope you can join us for this unique opportunity!
